2012–2013 has been two years full of challenges. In October 2012, we finally found a good place to worship as a church. We are very grateful to God for this. We opened the year 2013 with many events and conferences to celebrate what the Lord has done. We have recently heard from the owner of this property that they are selling the building and giving us the first opportunity to buy it. The appraisal has already been done and we are now to negotiate concerning the possibility to buy this nice building. Help us pray and any support is welcome.
In May this year, Pastor Regine Leito became a board member of SKIN-Rotterdam. This organization helps migrant churches in Rotterdam with issues like housing, financing, fund raising matters, trainings, and individual assistance requests of community members in a specific situation when the church network does not have the capacity to provide a solution, etc. For the affiliated churches, we offer extra options such as assistance with writing a funding request, first information on available housing, a volunteer to teach Dutch language lessons, or to accompany individuals when visiting official institutions, etc. In August 2013, we celebrated our annual Family Camp. Taking time for the family is very essential as family is the foundation of our church.
